p style="text-align: justify;">Marks Sattin are working in partnership with a mid-sized construction business in the Swindon area to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant on a Fixed Term Contract basis (6 months initially with a possibility of extension). An exciting time to join as they are targeting growth both organically and through acquisition.

The Assistant Management Accountant position will be paying between 37,000 and 40,000 per annum.

The Assistant Management Accountant Role

This role would suit somebody with experience around month end and associated analysis in a fast-paced environment, experience gained within the construction industry would be advantageous. You will have exposure to a wide array of tasks and support the Finance Director with driving forward processes including an upcoming system change. Key responsibilities include:

  • Sub-contractor payments (Review and process fortnightly)
  • Raising of sales invoices
  • Balance sheet reconciliations and analysis
  • Accruals and prepayments
  • Prepare and post Journals
  • Provide management information with insight on performance versus forecast/budgets

Key Skills and Experience

  • Part-Qualified ACCA/CIMA or Qualified by Experience
  • Strong analytical skills and
  • Ability to communicate with non-finance stakeholders
  • Intermediate Excel (pivot tables, V-lookups etc.)
