We are recruiting an Automotive Trim Test Technician for one of our automotive clients based in Cranfield.
You will be working for a globally recognised automotive company.
This is a long-term contract role. The contract is on an ongoing basis a may run for several years.

Key Responsibilities of the Automotive Trim Test Technician:

Preparation / building / maintenance of vehicles or components for test. Testing in static and dynamic conditions and Evaluation and concern identification on completion of test.
Removal and refit of interior trim parts
Creation of prototype mock-up parts using:
basic hand tools
3D Printing
3D Milling / Measure
Vehicle Ergonomics analysis using tools such as:
3D Scanners
CMM Measuring
Set up and support climatic tests in simulated environmental facilities.
Vehicle system knowledge with the ability to fault find.
Understanding of component measurement techniques
Instrumentation set-up
Data analysis & Report writing
Use skills to provide support to other test sections as required.

Qualifications & Experience for the Automotive Trim Test Technician:

Ideally C&G / BTEC L3 in mechanical or automotive engineering with a recognised apprenticeship.
A working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Excellent organisational skills
Fundamental understanding of vehicle dis-assembly, assembly, & maintenance techniques
Strong attention to detail
Be able to manage and prioritise their work.
Willingness to support adhoc Shift working/Overtime to support on-site testing.

Hours & Pay for the Automotive Trim Test Technician:

Monday-Thursday 08:00-17:00. Friday 08:00-13:20.
39 hours per week
17.32p/h equivalent to 35.395pa
