Company Introduction
We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading consultancy clients! They are currently looking for a skilled Senior Business Analyst to join their team for a twelve-month contract.


Job Responsibilities/Objectives
The Technical Business Analyst for Data Platform is responsible for clearly capturing and communicating the success criteria and functional / non-functional requirements for the Data Platform Programme. The role works in close partnership with Product Management and Development roles to ensure all team members working in the programme share a vivid understanding of what is required and why.

1. Elicit, document, and communicate of the Business Requirements for the Data Platform.
2. Work with the Product Managers from across the programme to develop the customer and internal user journeys for the Data Platform into a detailed map of platform use cases, defining the functional taxonomy, workflows, object definitions and states, volumetrics and non-functional requirements.
3. Work in partnership with programme stakeholders to ensure a clear definition of business success criteria for the relevant delivery cluster(s).
4. Create and maintain a traceability model to measure requirements completeness to align with regulatory oversight.
5. Collaborate throughout the delivery lifecycle to enable the right design decisions, and support development and testing activities.
6. Act as a proxy-product owner where necessary to enable seamless delivery
7. Build understanding and trust with product management and delivery Squads.

Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:

1. Industry experience developing business requirements for major transformation in financial services.
2. Standard Business Analysis methods and tooling: Use case mapping, requirements gathering, data modelling, user story mapping.
3. Ability to thrive in a technically complex and fast-changing environment, and to respond calmly and rationally to changing aspirations in a deadline driven situation.
4. Strong planning and organisation skills including the ability to organise effective, collaborative workshops, focused on outcomes and clear decision making
5. Excellent communication skills with capacity to present, discuss and explain issues coherently and logically in both writing and verbally.
6. Excellent team player, self-motivated and able to work on own initiative.
7. Clear decision-making ability with the facility to judge complex situations and assess when to escalate issues.

Desirable Skills/Experience
Although not essential, the following skills are desired by the client:

1. Meticulous attention to detail.
2. Determination and focus to on key business outcomes.
3. Experience and comfortable in an agile DevOps environment.
4. Large consulting firm experience preferable.
5. Familiarity with Microsoft cloud products and services preferable.
