There will be some travel involved as well as the opportunity to source new products, negotiate contracts and liaise with suppliers as varies as Coke, Pepsi, Danone, Nestle and others. Salary: c 50,000 ( base of c 45,000 + 10% bonus of 4,500)
Work style: Flexible hours and Hybrid . 3 days in the office ( Monday-Wednesday ). 2 days are wfh . Flexible hours (early or late start. Or late end-to-the-day ) . The company provides breakfast and lunch on the premises for staff

International Travel : Yes occasionally to the EMEA region

The role

Duties
- Overseeing the supply chain optimization, quality compliance and contract negotiation for beverages and snacks
- Develop new sourcing strategies and developing and sourcing new NPD items
- Identify opportunities to reduce total cost, and increase the profitability of this category
- Negotiate beverage and snack deals with Coke, Pepsi, Danone, Nestle and other suppliers
- Ensuring compliance within the purchasing process including ensuring there is accurate allergen, ingredient and nutritional information across all items
- Liaising with multiple account managers across Europe and with the US Legal team for tender agreements
- Supplier relationship management
- Attend regular visits to markets with suppliers to become a category export
- Developing a real understanding of the supplier landscape
- Comfortable with complete data sets
- Food purchasing background (ideally snacks or beverages)
- Happy to travel internationally on an occasional basis .
