Job Description: The role of Cloud Infrastructure Engineer involves joining a consultancy focused on wellness services for a 6-month project. The position requires extensive experience in cloud and infrastructure engineering, particularly with Azure and O365 migrations. The role is classified as inside IR35 and offers a competitive daily rate. Candidates must demonstrate a strong background in IT security practices and cloud technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform migrations of Windows Servers to Azure IaaS.
- Manage O365 tenant to tenant migrations.
- Work extensively as a cloud/infrastructure engineer or in similar IT roles.
- Handle multi-site and multi-forest Active Directory environments, group policy, and DNS.
- Utilize common Microsoft cloud technologies such as Azure, M365, Azure AD, and Intune.
- Collaborate with cloud, server, desktop, network, and telephony providers.
- Manage Layer2/3, dynamic routing, MPLS, SDWAN, and Firewall configurations.
- Implement IT security practices and tools for MFA, DLP, Proxy services, encryption, event logging, and alerting.
- Oversee Azure cost management.
- Facilitate migrations from DFS/Standard Shares to Azure Files.
Skills Required:
- Extensive experience in cloud/infrastructure engineering.
- Proficiency in Azure and O365 migrations.
- Knowledge of Active Directory environments and group policy.
- Familiarity with Microsoft cloud technologies (Azure, M365, Azure AD, Intune).
- Experience with IT security practices and tools.
- Understanding of network management (Layer2/3, dynamic routing, MPLS, SDWAN).
