Job Description: We are seeking a Commercial Officer focused on procurement to support a dynamic project environment. The ideal candidate will possess adaptability, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to commercial delivery. Responsibilities include providing expert advice on procurement strategies and managing the commercial pipeline. The role requires experience in public sector procurement and knowledge of relevant legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice and guidance on procurement strategies and tendering processes.
  • Manage contract management where applicable.
  • Develop and maintain the commercial pipeline, including current and future contractual arrangements.

Skills Required:

  • Experience of public sector procurement and knowledge of the Procurement Act 2023.
  • Delivery track record.
  • L4 CIPS or equivalent, or a minimum of 5 years' commercial experience.
  • Active SC clearance.
  • Stakeholder Management.
  • Experience of CCS Frameworks.
  • Experience supporting end-to-end sourcing in a large-scale complex/high-risk programme.
  • Experience supporting development and delivery of complex Invitations to Tender, negotiations, and contracts that may require non-standard/bespoke conditions.
  • Highly proficient MS Word and Excel skills.
  • Experience of working in a secure environment.
  • Experience using Qualifying Defence Contracts (QDCs) (desirable).
  • Working understanding of Oracle Fusion/equivalent Enterprise Resource Planning systems (desirable).
  • MCIPS or working towards (desirable).
