Job Position: Data Protection Migration Specialist

Location: London, UK (Hybrid)

Experience: - 10+ Years

Position Type: Contract (Inside IR35)

Contract Duration: 6 Months + Extendable


Must Have:


Data protection- Migration support, Linux, Windows, Oracle and VMware, NBU primary server domains, Data Flow, Deployment and Troubleshooting Issues, Troubleshooting NetBackup error codes


Roles & Responsibilities:


  • Data protection - Migration support Position
  • Taking initiative and proactively raising issues with both internal teams and external vendors
  • Experience logging calls with both hardware and software vendors, including progressing issues through to resolution
  • Strong understanding of data protection solutions for Linux, Windows, Oracle and VMware. Including deployment and troubleshooting issues
  • Troubleshooting NetBackup error codes and ability modify schedules, policies and client configurations while ensuring stability of critical production services and infrastructure.
  • Experience of customer deployments exceeding 50,000 end-points
  • Previous large scale migrations experience of data protection workloads
  • Basic ability to troubleshoot when issues are introduced from automation
  • Experience supporting environments with multiple NBU primary server domains, as well as 100's of media servers
  • Experience operating within controlled environments, adhering to strict change management and role elevation criteria.
  • Flexibility to work across time zones as required.
