Excel have an exciting new opportunity for a specialist within the electrical and avionic field to join an established leader within new aircraft technology as an Electrical and Avionic planning engineer on a contract basis.
In this role, you will be a key member of the team setting out the forward plan for the continued development of a battery powered VTOL aircraft to continue its progress from prototype to fully operational in service aircraft - so a great time to get involved in the project!
We are looking for someone with previous hangar or production experience across avionic and electrical modification (rotary aircraft would be ideal, but any aircraft experience will be considered) with a solid understanding of system design - prototype or first install knowledge would be advantageous, but certainly not essential.
The key requirement will be to understand and interpret technical documentation and work instructions and align them with the production of planning documents including task breakdown and information synthesis from various sources and be able to match the physical build process to the planning paperwork.
Initially this will be a 6 month contract based on a Monday to Friday working week of 40 hours paid at 37 per hour (outside of IR35), although given the changing workload more hours will be available as and when the project calls for it.
So if you have a solid understanding of avionic and electrical works within production/modification/hangar maintenance specifically in relation to planning and management of project work - please apply now and we can get in touch with further information.
