Our client are looking to hire a Field based Network Engineer who will be willing to work onsite across various national locations - with a bias towards to the North of the country (Yorkshire). Candidates based in this location would be ideal.

You will be required to be the eyes and feet on the ground at these sites ensuring that the business is represented positively by having a very professional and knowledgeable manor. You will be offering a hands-on support service for technical refreshes of hardware in a multi-site environment. You will oversee this implementation under the guidance of the Network Architect. You will be making sure all the design requirements are accepted to the service and the testing of this service is done to a degree it can be signed off successfully.

In terms of your experience, you will come from a Network Support background - and ideally in a field based capacity to ensure you are used to the travel involved. You will be well aware of Switches, Routers, Firewalls, LAN/WAN, patching and documentation around testing. You will not be expected to get involved in network configuration work, but of course any experience in this would be a bonus.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to come in and get really involved some cutting edge projects, such as the delivery of SD WAN projects but you have to come in aware that there will be travel and overnight stays involved in this role. Also, the flexibility of working into the early evening when needed. Travel and overnight stay will covered by expenses. Whereas this is a national field based role, many sites are based in the north of England so if you are based in Midlands, it would be an ideal location - but this is far from a dealbreaker.

This is a great way to see out 2023 as our client would like to move ahead with interviews before Christmas with a view of the appointment taking place early in 2024.
