Service Charge Accountant

Cobalt is partnering with a residential property consultancy who are looking for an experienced Service Charge Accountant to join them for 9 months.

The role will be working on the end-to-end service charge process in tandem with the property management team, across a portfolio of residential/block properties.

Key responsibilities

• Managing the complete service charge process.

• Year-end service charge reconciliations.

• Ensure all service charge budgets are loaded to the property management system prior to the year-end date.

• Completion of annual and quarterly service charge reconciliations complete with balance sheet/cash analysis and extended trial balance.

• Service charge actual expenditure to budgeted reporting, detailing any variances and reporting to clients/tenants on a six-month basis.

About you

• Prior experience in a similar position handling the service charge processes.

• Experience using a property management system such as TRAMPS/YARDI/QUBE.

• Advanced Excel skills - Vlookups, sumifs, pivot tables and if statements.

• Strong communication skills both with internal and external stakeholders.
