p>Delighted to be working with a thriving bank, who are currently seeking a Fraud and Credit Strategy Consultant for a 12-month fixed term contract.

Reporting to the CRO and will assist the CRO to manage the function as a second line of defence by contributing to the oversight and execution of a wide range of risks as well as for the implementation of the firm s risk strategy.

Main Responsibilities:


  • Develop and maintain the anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing policy (Financial Crime) in line with evolving statutory and regulatory obligations.
  • Ensure that all internal SARs received are investigated without delay and submitted to the relevant law enforcement agency with the regulatory timeframe.
  • Make recommendations for action to remedy any deficiencies in financial crime and credit policies, procedures, systems, or controls and follow up on those recommendations.
  • Represent the firm to all external agencies, e.g., regulators or law enforcement agencies, and in any other third-party enquiries related to money laundering prevention, investigation, or compliance.
  • Remain aware of any relevant sanctions, prohibitions, or advisory notices.
  • Promptly respond to any reasonable request for information from the regulator and/or law enforcement agencies.
  • Regularly review the effectiveness of money laundering compliance policies and procedures to prevent money laundering and counter the financing of terrorism.

Key Skills & Experience:


  • Minimum 5 years working within a fraud/credit strategy function for a financial service lender/deposit taker.
  • Proactively finding patterns in transactions that are indicative of fraudulent activity, particularly in new markets
  • Ability to monitor, adapt and implement credit strategies.
  • Experience in a credit risk environment with automated processes and data driven decisioning tools/culture.
  • Experience of devising and implementing fraud strategies within a savings environment.
  • Experience in building and maintaining strong working relationships.
  • Strong numeracy and analytic skills informing evidence-based decisions.
  • Motivated, adaptable, and proactive with the ability to work flexibly in a changing environment; highly resilient and politically astute.
