French Speaking Process Engineer Contract Switzerland
Location: Switzerland
This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading engineering business during a period of continued growth as they support the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical and Renewable Energy sectors. The successful candidate must be fluent in both French and English.
Role & Responsibilities
- This will be a site-based role working on a major refinery in Western Europe focusing on design deliverables so the successful candidate must have a strong refinery background.
- Undertaking work on client sites providing Process Engineering support to a range of CAPEX and OPEX projects.
- Acting as the interface between the client / owner operator and the EPC contractor.
- Develop the scope of work / basis of design for studies and projects.
- Undertake and checking of process calculations.
- Preparation and checking of process deliverables PFDs, P&IDs, datasheets, specifications, process descriptions, philosophies and narratives.
- Supporting the project during FEED and detailed design stages.
- Perform safety related calculations and provide input to safety reviews What If, Hazop SIL Assessment, etc.
- Utilise process simulation software as required for the development of process deliverables.
- Attend in-house and site-based meetings / reviews with clients.
- Undertake short and long-term business travel in support of studies, projects and consultancy.
Key Skills & Knowledge
- It is essential that the successful candidate must be fluent in both French and English.
- Degree in Chemical Engineering essential, chartered status desired but not essential.
- Previously worked on design projects in the Oil & Gas, Petrochem, or Renewable Energy industries.
- Onshore experience in refinery, petrochem or LNG projects highly beneficial.
- Experience in relevant design standards and protocols.
- Previous site experience in conjunction with a design background beneficial.
Additional Information
- This is initially a 12 month contract with the potential for further extensions and will be based in Switzerland and subject to Swiss tax and social security.
- 5 day standard working week Monday Friday.
