Full stack Engineer (Typescript, Express, React) Finance Leeds (hybrid)

Day rate: 400 600 (inside IR35)

My client is looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to join the growing Leeds based development team in a hybrid working model where you can split your working time between the office and your home. You will be working alongside the development team to complete requirements, but day to day work will be largely self-directed.

You will work on their Data Governance and Management software and its integration into a wider Data Quality platform. You will help to evolve the application utilising modern technology, primarily using Typescript with React and Express. Experience in these platforms is not a prerequisite, but a good grounding in web application development using similar would be required.

You will:

• Collaborate within a team to participate in application design, development and testing across the whole full stack application


• Develop integrations between our software and other Data Quality software within the wider platform


• Write high quality, readable code that meets acceptance criteria defined within user stories


• Produce comprehensive unit, component and integration tests


• Use your analytical skills to diagnose and solve technical issues raised by customers


• Undertake root cause investigation and identification of bugs or defects


• Keep up to date with relevant technological advancements and developments within web applications

Skills:

My client is looking for someone with a strong background in software development, who is comfortable working on both the back and front end and who is passionate about building modern solutions adhering to technical standards and focused on delivering value to their customers.

Required:

• Experience building websites, APIs and developing user interfaces


• TypeScript and JavaScript (ES6+) knowledge


• Full stack development experience


• React or similar framework


• CSS/SASS skills

Desirable:

• Knowledge of relational databases and SQL queries


• Source control using Git


• Integrating RESTful APIs


• Writing tests alongside development
