Financial Reporting Manager, Head of Financial Reporting; (ACA, ICAS, ACCA, CIMA) SC or DV Cleared is required by our government client based in Milton Keynes, Bucks. Commutable from Northampton, Bedford, Luton.

Hybrid working -60% on site

Daily Rate 650 outside of scope of IR35

Working in an SC Security Cleared environment. You will be SC or DV (Developed Vetting) Security cleared or eligible for Security Clearance.

As the Head of Financial Reporting, you will be responsible for the delivery of the management and financial accounts for the organisation, ensuring that business reporting needs are met and integrity and governance of accounting is maintained.

Essential Skills:

Qualified accountant with significant PQE (ACCA, ICAS, ACCE or CIMA);

Knowledge of accounting principles, Government Financial Reporting Manual (GAM) or International Financial Reporting Standards;

Track record of financial management and control;

Desirable Team Leadership experience;

Functional knowledge of ERP;

Experience of Trading Fund accounting;

Good knowledge and understanding of managing public money;

Knowledge of whole of government accounting process

Key Accountabilities

Oversee the delivery of the Statutory Accounts, ensuring timeliness, accuracy and compliance with legislation;

Manage the external auditing process, acting as the key interface for external auditors to ensure Audit compliance;

Provide advice for capital and operational investments and taking a holistic view to ensure a robust plan is in place for the business

Oversee the development and delivery of the Management Accounts and associated reporting to ensure alignment to current and future business need, and to support effective decision making;

Support the Reporting function, to build a highly motivated, high performing, efficient team that is empowered to deliver excellence;
