HR Administrator (Inside IR35)

Contract Term: 6 Months

Contracting Authority: NDA

Location: Hybrid Ideally 2 days a week in Cumbria & 3 days WFH OR Warrington office based (2 days in office / 3 days WFH)

 

The Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) is a non-departmental public body created through the Energy Act 2004.

 

We have 5 offices across the UK, in Cumbria, Dounreay, Harwell, Warrington and London.  We have 17 sites including the first fleet of nuclear power stations, research centres, fuel-related facilities, and Sellafield, which has the largest radioactive inventory and the most complex facilities to decommission.

 

We are responsible for:

  • decommissioning and cleaning up these nuclear facilities ensuring that all waste products, both radioactive and non-radioactive, are safely managed.
  • implementing policy on the long-term management of nuclear waste.
  • developing UK-wide strategy and plans for nuclear Low Level Waste (LLW).
  • scrutinising the decommissioning plans of EDF Energy, who own the operating fleet of Advanced Gas Cooled Reactor (AGR) nuclear power stations.

 

 

As a HR Administrator, your main responsibilities will be: 

  • Recruitment Support: Assist in coordinating the recruitment process, including posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
  • Onboarding: Ensure a smooth onboarding process for new employees, including vetting paperwork, contract and induction.
  • Employee Records: Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
  • HR Mailbox: manage the HR Mailbox ensuring enquires are fielded to advisors and managed within our deadlines.
  • Benefits Administration: Support benefits administration, including itrent changes, all leave management, and employee queries.
  • HR Documentation: Prepare HR documents, such as offer letters, employment contracts, and HR policies.
  • HR Reporting: Assist in generating HR reports and analytics to support decision-making and compliance.
  • Employee Relations: Handle employee inquiries and provide information on HR policies and procedures.
  • General HR Support: Provide general administrative support to the HR department, including filing, correspondence, and managing HR software systems.

 

You ll have relevant experience in:

  • Shares and demonstrates the NDA values of, Respect, Openness, Collaboration, Performance and Creativity.
  • Ability to provide a solution orientated approach to HR administration.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise own workload to meet deadlines.
  • Experience of liaising with stakeholders to meet business needs is essential.
  • Creativity and a passion for customer service.
  • A team player and with a track record in building good relationships.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including ability to influence and persuade.
  • Enthusiastic and results-driven, operating effectively at all levels to achieve results and add value.
  • Organised and logical approach to work as well is good attention to detail.
  • A broad knowledge of all the role requirements based on a mixture of training and work experience.
  • Experience of using Teams and Microsoft Office.
  • GSCE in English and Maths.
  • Desirable CIPD qualified
