In short: Cyber Security Analyst with Identity and Access Management knowledge required to join a large bank in assuring the controls for IAM platforms ie CyberArk, Sailpoint, Ping and Azure AD - experience of other, similar tools is fine.

IAM controls are fundamental in ensuring that the bank's information assets are protected in terms of their confidentiality, integrity, and availability .


Recently, it was highlighted that a number of IAM controls require improvement, in order to strengthen these controls, work is being undertaken to assess, validate & remediate control gap failings relating to the highest-risk applications. CSO is sponsoring and coordinating QA activity which looks at the control evidence being provided by the business & ensuring that, where controls gaps exist, that remediation plans are in place with clear timelines.



Key Attributes




  • Must have current knowledge & experience in Identity & Access Management (IAM)

  • Must understand IAM core principles

  • Able to demonstrate attention to detail, ensuring accuracy & timeliness of information



  • Able to deliver work to timelines & have general understanding to IAM control remediation activity being undertaken

  • Have strong communication skills both written & verbal as this work entails engagement with senior stakeholders

  • Have knowledge & utilisation of using key Microsoft tools - Includes Word, Excel, SharePoint

  • Must be able to be proactive & think outside the box to understand how the core principles of IAM work together



High level activity of AMA Quality Assurance


Ensuring that audit remediation activity is undertaken in following areas;



  • Quality Assurance checking of evidence to demonstrate 'How' control requirements are being met

  • Identification of 'Not in scope' applications - challenging accordingly

  • Remediation - identifying issues. Determining what themes are emerging & ensuring appropriate remediation path is in place

  • Weekly/Monthly reporting - Feeding into business lead, understanding areas of concern & articulating to ensure it's clear/precise for key stakeholders including board level
