Job Description: The IT Support Engineer will play a crucial role in a device migration project at a secure MOD site in Wolverhampton. This position requires active SC clearance and involves logistics, device handling, and workflow updates to ensure a smooth migration process. The successful candidate will work under supervision to support device refresh operations and maintain accurate records. Previous experience in secure environments is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the initial setup of the migration environment and refresh clinic.
- Move IT equipment as directed by the Site Manager and Contractor Engineer.
- Support device refresh operations under supervision, including logging into systems as instructed.
- Accurately update workflow management systems at each stage of the process.
- Coordinate with the Post-Migration Technical Support Specialist for guidance as needed.
- Perform daily manual stock checks and report findings.
- Ensure the secure storage of all devices at the end of each day.
Skills Required:
- Active SC Clearance (mandatory).
- Previous experience working in secure or government environments is a plus.
