Dureation: 6-9 month Initially

Location: Hybrid

Rate: £650p/d

We are looking for someone who will partner with Legal to execute third party savings of $5-6m in 2023, $10m by 2024, supporting the strategic direction of the company. The role will be for an initial 6-9-month duration.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support the 2023/2024 outside counsel spend optimization and contribute to the achievement of Company Group wide workstreams to optimize Legal related 3rd party spend across UK&I, ITA and DACH ($5-6m in CY23 and $10m by CY24)
  • Support ongoing and planned sourcing events, e.g., legal panel review work (3-tier panel) to address top 45 vendors, implementation of Managed Service providers, IP Legal consulting RFP
  • Manage negotiations with new and incumbent law firms and alternative legal services providers, update existing contracts and implement framework agreements
  • Establish BAU Procurement engagement process for deals over $250k in line with Group Procurement policy, formalise tendering process and facilitate by use of Ariba RFx and quick bids
  • Closely collaborate with Legal Ops team to ensure implementation of billing rules and guidelines for instructing outside counsel and exploit opportunities of e-billing tools
  • Introduce supplier management framework including reporting and review mechanism (supplier performance scorecard and ABR/QBR)
  • work closely with Procurement, Finance, and business colleagues across the wider Group, including teams in Italy, Germany, and the US.

Required Experience:

  • Proven Procurement experience in Corporate & Business Services Procurement, ideally within HR categories
  • Highly motivated professional with a proactive approach
  • Excellent negotiating skills and commercial acumen
  • Creative thinking – initiative and enthusiasm in finding new sourcing approaches to balance operational and commercial pressures
  • Experience of working in a global / pan-European function, being able to manage varying demands and needs within a single project
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent
  • Procurement qualification (e.g. CIPS)
