Job Description

  • Both managing and performing key areas of month end close
  • Preparation of Management Accounts (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) for 3 trading entities to tight deadlines (we have a 3 day GL close to report to Group Team)
  • Preparation and submission of Group VAT Return
  • Preparing interim and year end audit deliverables to a tight timetable for the Big 4 external audit
  • Line management and responsibility for ensuring the smooth day to day running of a team
  • Number 2 to the Head of Finance, supporting the wider Finance team in a hands on way
  • Monthly balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations
  • Sales reconciliations, payment allocations and investigation
  • Stock postings and management
  • Cost centre reviews
  • Working cross-functionally with the Technology team and Finance Systems Manager to initiate and see through transformation projects to improve and automate controls and month end processes
  • Following recent implementation of the new ERP system D365 F&O, identify and implement ways to make optimal use of the new ERP system to drive improvements in the month end close process and management accounts reporting
