IT Programme Director- Outside IR35

We are currently seeking an It Programme Director for our client who are a leading international events, intelligence, and scholarly research group. This will be on an initial 6 month contract, outside IR35 and will require the successful individual to be on-site in Blackfriars 2-3 days a week.

The Programme Director will be responsible for ensuring these are in place, in collaboration with other Programme Team members:

  • Cohesive, (and suitably senior) Leadership support & Governance.
  • Appropriate delivery team structure and resource plan, with clear prioritisation and resource commitments from Teams and Divisions.
  • Ongoing focus on optimal delivery sequencing and process - for both technology delivery and business change and communications activities.
  • Agreement on Mandates/Controls, roles, and case for change - to sufficiently improve culture, behaviours, and process adherence. This programme needs to achieve a step-change in maturity and practice.
  • Visibility & Tracking - to illustrate key progress, business imperatives to executive stakeholders, galvanise support and drive data-based decision making within the Programme.

Work Streams and Ways of WorkingCurrent Work Streams being explored and shaped are listed below. The Programme Manager will need to continue to evolve these into optimal delivery plans, with associated forums and ways of working:

  • InfoSec/Cyber change initiatives
  • Tech Data Management
  • Disaster Recovery
  • Data Privacy
  • Cloud Maturity
  • Business Change, Culture and Comms

The Programme Manager will need to agree and implement an aligned approach to businesschange/adoption and communication (aligning with Leap/Op Model change plans, and other InfoSec and GT Culture and comms work)They will also need to establishing initial Dashboards, KPIs, reporting to show initial progress and evolving these in line with emerging reporting/MI processes and the insight needs of different stakeholder groups.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Project/Programme Management accreditation + extensive experience of delivering a range of IT/Technology/Data programmes
  • Strong knowledge of Data and Information Security activities and the wider implications for business users/stakeholders.
  • Extensive experience of building support for, embedding and communicating change - in international, cross-functional businesses.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills - well versed in communicating, presenting, and reporting to C-Suite and Board Level stakeholders
  • Adaptive and agile mindset with experience of coordinating complex delivery plans and Continuously optimising delivery methods.
  • Data-driven decision-making approach with evidence of use of clear insights and compelling data sets
