About the Role

Morgan Sindall has successfully bid for grant funding to incorporate Artificial Intelligence into our industry leading toolset which delivers reductions in the whole life carbon of our construction projects.The existing toolset has already been successful in saving 14,500 tonnes of carbon.

This project will develop a cutting-edge AI capability to reduce the time taken to conduct accurate whole life carbon assessments in the construction industry by an estimated 85%. A series of new algorithms will be built to exploit this growing dataset of actual project data already inputted into the tool, streamlining the process of entering and checking user inputs. Producing quality, accurate assessments of whole life carbon with less human input will increase profit margins by reducing input costs. AI capabilities also promise productivity advances on the output side: predictive algorithms would enable whole life carbon assessments to be conducted earlier in the building stage, where there is a 50-70% carbon reduction opportunity worth between 22.4M and 31.3M.

The project is a partnership between a Morgan Sindall a leading university and other 3rd parties.

About You

You will orchestrate the planning, execution, and successful delivery of the project, overseeing timelines, resources, and team coordination to ensure the efficient deployment of the whole life carbon assessment tool.

Candidates will be experienced project managers, well organised and able to demonstrate solid experience in delivering collaborative projects with multiple stakeholders and bringing together multiple suppliers based across the UK.

Experience of bringing AI to bear on system inputs is desirable but there is no expectation the candidate will understand the carbon market.

You will be a great communicator and have the project objectives at the forefront of your mind.You will be driven and used to overcoming blockers to achieve results, whilst championing the Morgan Sindall values.
