IT Support Analyst

IR35 Status - Inside

Duration - 5 Months +

Location - Birmingham

The position will play a crucial role in the delivery of a high-quality customer-focused service.

As a member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring all IT assets are tagged and recorded on the IT System. You will also be responsible for updating and maintaining accurate records.

The role will be responsible for configuring devices that relate to the IT desktop service, following the standard configuration procedures, which includes the deployment of the operating system and gold build.

Duties will include:

  • The installation of software, using supplied installation instructions and tools following agreed standards
  • Conducting tests of the configuration using supplied test procedures and diagnostic tools
  • Help to resolve problems and faults, and corrects malfunctions, documenting results in accordance with agreed procedures
  • Report details of all hardware/software items that have been installed and removed so that configuration management records can be updated
  • Contribute, as required, to the development of installation procedures and standards
  • Educated to degree or equivalent
  • Professional qualification such as: ITIL Foundation in IT Service Management

Able to demonstrate proficiency in:

  • Knowledge of the IT infrastructure (hardware, databases, operating systems, local area networks etc) and the IT applications and service processes used within own organisation.
  • Installation, testing and commissioning of supplier specific equipment and software in all legitimate operational environments.
  • Strong technical, communication, organisation and problem-solving skills will be advantageous for this role, including meticulous attention to detail.
