An IT Support Technician is required for our client based in Oldham, for an initial 3-month contract (potential to extend further). 

Candidates must hold a current enhanced DBS check. You will also be visiting different sites, therefore a driving licence is also essential.

The role will give technical support to schools to ensure IT systems are effective, efficient and secure. Key tasks will include;

• Setting up equipment such as laptops, data projectors, interactive whiteboards, sound systems and other specialist ICT equipment, ensuring that systems are ready for use and operating correctly.
• Maintaining ICT installations, peripherals and software; restoring faults, replace consumables, updating software and setting up new equipment.

Experience required;

• Prior experience in an IT support position (including Service desk/helpdesk as training for a more hands on role will be provided)
• Experience of diagnosing and correcting faults in ICT hardware and software
• Experience of installing, configuring computer hardware, operating systems, upgrades, software and peripheral equipment
