Do you have IT Technician experience, and are you seeking a new 12-month contract in Basingstoke? NES Fircroft is helping a collaborative company recruit an IT Technician, and the role comes with an attractive hourly rate. You will be reporting to the Hub Infrastructure Site Service Leader.
As a IT Technician, you will assist the Site Service Leader with the execution of Operational Services in alignment to Global, Regional and Local plans across the UK sites. You will also assist with the coordination of multiple vendors to ensure that escalated incidents and service requests are managed promptly.

- Understand the user s business requirements and the impact of IT services
- Support all areas of infrastructure connectivity, including phone systems, data networking, video conferencing and Business TV, BT Services
- Act as customer liaison for operations issues and requests
- Assist with infrastructure projects and service requests using multiple external vendors and internal infrastructure & facilities groups to achieve goals
- Provide IT presence and relevance on the ground at affiliate sites as deemed necessary
- Ensure documented procedures and processes are followed for all activities.
To apply for this IT Technician role, you will need a background/interest in Infrastructure Operations and a background working with vendors in an outsourced environment. You will also require the following:
- An awareness of ITIL processes
- A broad base understanding of infrastructure
- Dealing with customers at all levels in a busy working environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to manage workload for multiple priority projects
- Exemplary Communication Skills and ITIL 3 Foundation is a desirable skill.
