We have an exciting new opportunity for a LEAD PROCESS ENGINEER - PRINCIPAL/SENIOR which can be based either in Warrington or West Cumbria.
About the Project:
Infrastructure Gated Projects EELVS & B484/ELoG
EELVS Fulfilling the requirement to provide emergency standby generation to a critical nuclear facility on the Sellafield site.
Due to the nature of the facility, there is a requirement for this to withstand 1 in 10,000-year extreme events. Conceptual design of a Diesel Generator Island was developed under a previous project (EDNUP) prior to being paused, project is now due to be restarted as a standalone project.
B484/ELoG Study required to understand the shortfall in on site diesel storage and refuelling capabilities on site following the closure of B484. Also need to understand the operating philosophy and preferred way forward to extend the duration of site
standby power provided through EDNUP following a change in resilience requirements following a Extended Loss of Grid (ELoG) from 3 days to 5 days.
About the Role:
Support to the SL Responsible Engineer (RE) in the production of design deliverables (Study, Front End Design, Detail).
