Are you an administrator in Taunton who is looking for an opportunity to join the legal world of conveyancing in a fixed term contract for 12 months? You may already work as an administrator in a legal or property environment, or you might have some admin experience gained in a different world altogether. Either way we'd be keen to hear from you if you are naturally organised with great attention to detail!

We have an opportunity for a Legal Administrator (FTC) in Taunton to join our Conveyancing team, who specialise in Islamic Finance work. As a Legal Administrator you will work closely with our Conveyancers to manage any queries from our clients, draft the relevant documents, and ensure compliance to enable housing transactions goes through smoothly.

This is a great opportunity to develop and learn new skills in an interesting and challenging sector.

What you will do

Full training will be provided for the following if required:

  • Act as first point of contact for enquiries, providing excellent customer service to new and repeat clients
  • Initial matter set up procedures, to include production of confirmation of instruction letters, updating central records and the entering of entities and capacities on each new client/matter file
  • Provide an efficient and effective service to the Conveyancers
  • Ensure all appropriate quality service and compliance for all matters are met
  • Collate and complete due diligence to comply with Anti Money Laundering Regulations where required
  • Manage routine client telephone enquiries, to ensure all required information and details are obtained to comply with file opening requirements

What we need

  • Prior experience working within an administrative function (experience of property transactions would be ideal but is not essential)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at once
  • Commitment to working within a quality standard environment
  • Strong IT skills with the ability to become familiar with new systems quickly
  • Excellent team working desire and ability
  • Availability to commit to a 12 x month fixed term contract

Our Conveyancing Services team spans a multitude of different specialisms. Each team have specific levels of support and technical experience, and each of our Conveyancers take ownership of their caseloads, assisting their clients through the drafting of relevant documents and ensuring compliance to enable housing transactions to go through smoothly we really strive to get to know our clients and take the responsibility of our instructions seriously. We are an accredited member of the Conveyancing Quality Scheme and have been appointed to over 60 of the major UK lending panels. Our continued success has led to us receiving accolades such as the best firm in our region at the ESTA Conveyancing awards 2019.

Eligibility to work in the UK

Eligibility to work in the UK will be verified in the final stages of the selection process.
