About Our Client
You will be working for a leading financial services business with global presence and almost 200 000 employees worldwide.
Job Description
Responsibilities include:
- Providing legal advice and assistance on a wide range of intra-group and external arrangements, focusing on outsourcing, offshoring third party risk management, data protection, banking secrecy and confidentiality, IP and technology,
- For external supplier arrangements, drafting and negotiating legal documentation effectively,
- For intra-group projects, collaborating with local counsel and project managing the legal opinions from local counsel across multiple territories,
- Advising on the legal structure of intra-group projects and external engagements,
- Advising on contractual structure for each project and engagement,
- Advising on the impact of laws, regulation and guidance impacting IT & Sourcing, including GDPR, DPA, EBA Guidelines on Outsourcing, PRA SS2/21, etc.
- Apprising territory management and other key stakeholders of the legal implications of a proposed initiative or engagement.
- Representing Legal in CIB Transformation - Smartsourcing's Transformation Committees and Go-Live approval processes
- Supporting the existing programme of delivering robust templates, guides, policies and practices for outsourcing and TPRM.
- Where appropriate, assisting, involving and communicating with other internal functions and other teams within the Legal department on projects and other matters.
- Keeping up to date with legal, market and regulatory developments; shares know-how appropriately with relevant areas of the business, across the legal teams globally and with other functions.
- Ensuring consistent and rigorous legal risk management and approach to legal documentation review; implementing tools to achieve these aims.
