- Production of reporting pack for SLP and SFS - Quarterly
- Develop and enhance reporting pack to capture new reporting requirements
- Integrity of sub-ledgers - Quarterly
- Balance sheet reconciliations - Quarterly
- Extensive and in-depth analysis of investment and insurance accounting transactions and balances
- Dealing with wide-ranging audit queries Interim and annual
- Assist in IFRS17 and SII processes - Quarterly
- Review and understanding of bank reconciliations in a range of formats
- Monthly Management reporting and variance analysis - Quarterly
Skills
- Qualified accountant CA or ACCA.
- Broad knowledge of financial services
- Advanced Excel skills (Lookups and Pivot Tables level)
- Basic knowledge of IFRS17 and SII processes
- Understanding of interaction of the key finance systems
- Ability to work on own with a practical, "can-do" attitude.
Experience
- Probably at least 5 years post qualification.
- Financial services background.
- Preferably life and pensions company experience.
