The Harnham Group is a globally leading recruitment consultancy offering talent solutions to a range of industries across the U.S., UK and Europe. We are a 250-people business with offices in London, New York, San Francisco, Amsterdam and Phoenix. A position to join our finance team on an FTC covering maternity leave for 12 months has arisen, we're looking for a qualified CIMA/ACCA accountant to join as soon as possible.


This will be a challenging and busy position managing the accounts for The Harnham Group so ideally we're looking for someone with experience in consolidation, producing P&L reports as well as providing analysis for management packs to the C-level board.


What will you be doing?

  • Prepare Group Management Accounts across the brands
  • Prepare monthly leadership pack for board meetings including KPIs, contract and perm ratios, department and individual performance
  • Prepare analyses to budget/forecast and prior month and discuss any permanent differences with the Head of Finance
  • Update forecasts reflecting current and anticipated trading
  • Assist with flash revenue forecasting at the start of month and mid-month
  • Ad-hoc analysis on business performance e.g. dept and individual performance; forecast flexing
  • Balance sheet reconciliations and analysis; accruals and prepayments
  • VAT checks and quarterly submissions
  • Assist during annual audit
  • System and process review and improvement


Who are we looking for?


  • ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualified/open to part qualified candidates depending on experience
  • Advanced MS Excel skills (creating spreadsheets and using financial functions)
  • Strong communication skills you'll be building relationships with key stakeholders as well as the wider finance team
  • Highly organised and structured
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced busy environment
  • Flexibility to deliver to tight deadlines
