Are you an experienced Social Worker passionate about supporting individuals with learning disabilities? Manchester City Council is actively seeking dedicated professionals to join our Learning Disability Team.
Position: Adults Social Worker - Learning Disability Team
Location: Manchester City Council
Pay Rate: 30 per hour
Key Responsibilities
Work with individuals who have learning disabilities, applying the Care Act and Mental Capacity Act
Utilize best interests principles to ensure the welfare of those under your care
Demonstrate expertise in risk management and collaborate effectively with multiagency teams
Participate in the duty rota and take the lead on Section 42 safeguarding enquiries when necessary
Hybrid Working
Manchester City Council offers a hybrid working model for this role, providing flexibility for a better work-life balance.
Requirements
Social Work qualification and relevant professional registration
Proven Experience Working With Individuals With Learning Disabilities
Familiarity with the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and best interests processes
Strong Risk Management Skills And Experience With Multiagency Working
Willingness to participate in the duty rota and lead Section 42 safeguarding enquiries
