Job Title: Mechanical Designer

Salary: 40.00 - 45.00 Per hour
Job Duties:
- Design and develop mechanical systems, components, and equipment based on project requirements and specifications.
- Create detailed 2D and 3D models, drawings, and schematics using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers and project managers, to ensure design feasibility and functionality.
- Perform calculations and simulations to analyse product performance, structural integrity, and mechanical behaviour.
- Conduct research to stay updated on emerging technologies, materials, and design trends in the field of mechanical engineering.
- Participate in design reviews and provide recommendations for design improvements, cost reduction, and efficiency enhancement.
- Assist in the selection of appropriate materials, components, and suppliers for mechanical systems and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and quality control procedures.
- Support the manufacturing and assembly process by providing technical guidance and resolving design-related issues.
- Document design specifications, technical reports, and project progress updates accurately and comprehensively.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Designer or in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical design principles, practises, and techniques.
- Proficiency in using CAD software, such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Professional certification in mechanical design.
- Experience in the scientific or pharmaceutical industry.
- Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and standards.
- Knowledge of finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software.
- Experience with design optimisation and cost reduction strategies.
Working Conditions:
- This is a contract position, with the expected working hours to be determined.
- The work will primarily be conducted in an office or design studio environment.
- Occasional travel may be required to visit client sites or manufacturing facilities.
- Strict adherence to health and safety guidelines is necessary.
