Job Description: Our client, a prominent M&E Building Services Contractor, is looking for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to manage multiple fit-out projects from their head office. The role involves overseeing project delivery from pre-construction to handover, ensuring effective coordination among various teams. The position requires strong project management skills, particularly in the education and healthcare sectors. Regular site visits and remote support for site operations are also part of the responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage mechanical packages on new build and fit-out projects (CAT A & B) from the office
  • Coordinate design development, procurement, and project planning
  • Liaise with site-based teams and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution
  • Oversee project budgets, timelines, and health & safety compliance
  • Attend client, design, and coordination meetings (office & occasional site-based)
  • Track project progress and provide regular internal and external reports
  • Ensure all mechanical systems are delivered to specification and standard

Skills Required:

  • Proven track record as a Mechanical Project Manager in M&E contracting
  • Strong knowledge of CAT A and CAT B fit-outs
  • Experience managing new build education and healthcare projects
  • Office-based project management experience preferred
  • Excellent coordination, planning, and communication skills
  • Commercial awareness and ability to work closely with QS and procurement teams
  • Relevant certifications: CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid (beneficial)

Salary (Rate): £375/day

You’ll oversee the delivery of multiple CAT A & CAT B fit-out projects, including high-profile new build schools and hospitals across the region.

Based at the company’s head office, you’ll manage projects from pre-construction through to handover, ensuring coordination across design, procurement, and delivery teams, while supporting site operations remotely and through regular site visits.
