We are seeking a self-motivated and results-driven Microsoft SQL Database Administrator with the ability to independently lead various tasks related to the administration, maintenance, and optimization of Microsoft SQL Server databases hosted both on-premises and in the cloud. This role requires collaboration with other IT team members and stakeholders to ensure the seamless operation and performance of database systems, contributing to the future-proofing of our technology landscape.

Responsibilities:
- Comprehensive understanding of database architecture, design, and best practices.
- Proficiency in MS SQL Server administration, configuration, and maintenance.
- Expertise in Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO) for queries, databases, and Servers, utilizing native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
- Hands-on experience with backups, restoration, and recovery models.
- Knowledge of Analysis services, cubes, and data warehousing.
- Implementation, configuration, and troubleshooting of reporting services packages.
- Implementation, configuration, and troubleshooting of SSIS packages.
- Sound experience with High Availability (HA) (clustering, AlwaysOn, mirroring) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to organize and independently plan work, multitask effectively, and switch context between different activities and teams.
- Experience in database auditing and security.
- Expertise in database migration, upgrading, and patching.
- Drive cloud solutioning on Azure/AWS for large and complex implementations.
- Plan storage and capacity management, creating logical and physical models.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive database documentation.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new database systems.
- Stay updated on the latest Microsoft SQL Server technologies and best practices.
- ITIL knowledge.

Good to have:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate.
- Microsoft Certified: SQL Server Database Administrator Associate.
- Experience with configuring and administering security/policies/resource governing/Azure Key Vault.
- MCTS, MCITP, and/or MVP certifications.
