Job Summary:
A highly motivated and results-oriented MS SQL Database Administrator, who can independently lead and be responsible for a variety of tasks related to the administration, maintenance, and optimization of Microsoft SQL Server databases hosted at on-prem/cloud. The person should be a team player to closely work with other IT team members/stakeholders, ensuring smooth operation and performance of the database systems and technology landscape for futureproofing.
Responsibilities:
- Good understanding of database architecture, design, and best practices.
- Expertise in MS SQL Server administration, configuration, and maintenance.
- Good experience in Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO) of query, database and server, using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
- Experience with backups, restoration, and recovery models.
- Knowledge of Analysis services, cubes, data-warehousing.
- Good Experience on reporting services packages implementation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Experience on SSIS packages implementation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Sound experience on High Availability (HA) [clustering, AlwaysOn, mirroring) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to organize and plan work independently
- Ability to multi-task and context-switch effectively between different activities and teams
- Experience of Database auditing and security.
- Experience of database migration, upgradation, and patching.
- Driving the cloud Solutioning on Azure/AWS for large complex implementation
- Plan Storage and Capacity Management and create logical models and build physical models
- Create and maintain database documentation
- Assist with the development and implementation of new database systems
- Stay up-to-date on the latest Microsoft SQL Server technologies and best practices
- ITIL knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 10-16 years of experience in database administrator role
- Strong understanding of Microsoft SQL Server, including My-SQL
- Experience with database administration tools and utilities
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate
Microsoft Certified: SQL Server Database Administrator Associated
Configuring and Administering Security/Policies/Resource Governing/Azure Key Vault.
MCTS, MCITP, and/or MVP certifications
