Position Network Engineer

Location - Birmingham

Long term contract- Onsite

Purpose of the role

As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for the implementation and support of enterprise solutions focused on the areas of Network (LAN, WAN, Wireless, Firewall) and datacenter technologies

Job Description.

• Skilled administration of network systems
• Plan, design, deploy, troubleshoot, and audit end-to-end network solutions
• 5+ years of experience working with network services, including: routing, switching, VPN/tunnelling, wireless, load balancers, oob, datacenter, and firewalls
• Knowledge across diff types of network connectivity tech such as: MPLS, VPN, Internet, SDWAN, and point-to-point
• An understanding of the OSI model and how systems and services operate wi/in the model
• Familiarity with enterprise-class network managemetn and analysis systems, such as : ManageEngine, Ekahau, and Wireshark
• Capable of implementing network systems, including: creating configuration cutsheets/runbook, change requests, and handoff docs for operations
• Experience troubleshooting networked systems and working with operations teams for problem isolation and resolution
