Role
- The Network Engineer will be responsible for first line installation, diagnostics and maintenance of network equipment and infrastructure.
- Receive, progress, report and close trouble tickets to internal customer SLA's using the correct processes and systems.
- Revise and update technical documentation and asset registers accordingly.
- Maintain the cleanliness of all sites and report any defects/problems.
- Perform risk assessments on site and be able to follow method statements.
- Produce reports for site visits as required.
- Respond quickly and effectively to requests from the Service Desk, external parties and management on event days.
Profile
- The Network Engineer will support and troubleshooting of networkequipment to include but not limited to: wired network equipment, wireless network equipment, data comms equipment, switching equipment, PSTN/ADSL lines
- Completion of site surveys to enable installation
- RAMS creation and work area/vehicle management
- Planned preventative maintenance
- Wiring and connection of network equipment to required standards and regulations
- Equipment installation and commissioning across various projects
- Network experience such as Aruba LAN/WLAN, WLAN, CiscoLAN and Aruba CPPM.
- Experience with tools and technologies such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, Checkpoint, Bluecoat, Nexus, Infoblox, etc
- Proven experience of some of the following: security, cloud, networks, operational tools and any relevant hardware and associated operating systems
- A passion for delivering solutions to customers, owning the whole SDLC and living the DevSecOps principles
- A strong set of IT skills which would include Microsoft products, Aruba Clearpass, Palo Alto Firewalls.
