Job Purpose

My client is part way through an Oracle Finance and HR system programme which seeks to both rectify existing immediate weaknesses and gaps in the current Oracle cloud solution.

The Reporting Lead role will work as part of the Oracle Finance and HR system programme responsible for designing and delivering a high performing and cost-effective reporting capability.

Key Deliverables:

Analysis and agreement of reporting requirements, referencing key user requirements, solution documentation and best practice from other implementations. The organisation have already identified a reference panel of other UK companies using Oracle Cloud applications.

Design, document and agree the Oracle Reporting product strategy, identifying the optimum reporting solution set for both:

Design and Delivery of the reporting capability, including design and build of underlying business processes and performance metrics.

Support the overall delivery of the Oracle Finance and HR programme, providing solution design advice and review around reporting into:

Attend design authority, reviewing and contributing to design decisions where relevant from a reporting perspective

Reviewing any design documentation for re-implementation and providing input into any relevant design decisions from a reporting perspective.

Contributing as a reporting subject matter expert to the delivery of technical innovation which gives advantage to the organisation by utilising Oracle technology, for example in helping deliver cost savings.

Essential Skills and Experience Required




Extensive experience working as a reporting specialist in organisations implementing and/or running Oracle Cloud applications
Demonstrable experience (and certification where available) in Oracle Cloud reporting components including BI Publisher, OTBI, Financials Reporting, Analytics Cloud, Financials Warehouse etc.
Able to demonstrate strong experience in a reporting lead role preferably working within a large Local Authority or with a private sector organisation providing Public Sector Services.
Strong experience in designing, delivering and managing a successful reporting capability, taking into account user requirements, service design, resourcing, onboarding, skills development, training, delivery processes and performance metrics.
Strong written, verbal communication and presentational skills
Strong customer service skills
