Guidant Global is delighted to be partnering with Airbus, a global pioneer in the aerospace industry, in their search for a Part-time Administrator.

An opportunity has arisen to join the Flight Physics/Wind Tunnel team as an Administrative Assistant as part of a Logistics Function. This role provides a perfect entry level opportunity and will support your growth and development within Airbus. The successful applicant will report to the Head of Wind Tunnel and the Head of Aerodynamics.

Responsibilities

Procurement

  • Co-ordinate and carry out procurement related activities both in-house and with suppliers worldwide within the scope of the commodity. Work in a transnational environment with a wide supplier base.
  • Order via ClickNBuy.
  • Goods Receive orders once delivery is made.
  • Request quotes from 1st tier and 2nd tier suppliers.
  • Liaise with procurement on HMG codes etc.
  • Help maintain a database for all purchased goods/GRs etc.
  • Escalation with suppliers and procurement to meet tight wind tunnel deadlines.

Wind Tunnel Model Transportation

  • Liaise with AUK customs, Logistics and Export Control.
  • SAP entry for Delivery Notes, Customs Invoices and Export Control Licences.
  • Liaise with Airbus Transport and DHL.
  • Keep track of model shipments for traceability including the terms of logistics, export control and customs.

Other Support

  • Order stationery.
  • Catering for meetings.
  • Dry goods for kitchen.
  • Archiving of documents.

Possible Support to Flight Physics

  • Support to Head of Aerodynamics.
  • Enter documents into EDMS.
  • Admin support and travel bookings for Flight Physics

Skill Set

  • Previous procurement experience preferred.
  • The ability to be adaptable as part of a job share team.
  • Fantastic communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Google Suite.
  • The ability to question, negotiate and use initiative.
  • Customer orientation and responsiveness with a solution mindset

Hours

  • 22.5 hours per week over 3 days.
  • Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.
