p>Performance Test Lead required by a global blue chip, headquartered in the UK to strategically analyse and optimise resource capacity, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of systems through performance testing and proactive planning.
Essential Skills and Experience:
Demonstrable experience in leading and defining performance test strategies and plans, capacity monitoring and planning and relevant tool selection.
Proven experience in testing against large globally available multi-site hosting platforms.
Deep understanding of product drivers and instrumentation.
5+ years of relevant work experience.
Responsibilities
* Monitors, measures and reports production performance and reliability
* Support Product teams in assessing release performance and reliability
* Identifies instrumentation requirements for applications
* Performs capacity trending analysis and planning
* Gathers product usage projections and assesses impacts
* Provides capacity assessment support for business case and special project analysis
* Designs and runs load tests to develop data on performance, capacity and stability
* Troubleshoots capacity/performance problems in all domains
* Develops key metrics for measuring and monitoring performance and capacity
* Develops, implements and maintains system performance monitoring solutions, performance test strategies and plans, and reporting systems
* Participates in technical architecture discussions to determine the most appropriate scalable model taking into consideration high availability, failover and disaster recovery
* Serves as a subject matter expert to application engineering and other technical and business staff in planning the resource requirements for products under development
* Contribute to the definition and implementation of performance SLAs (Service Level Agreements).
* Stay up-to-date with the latest performance testing tools and methodologies.
* May provide guidance/training to staff

This is a 12 month initial contract which requires working 1-2 days a week onsite in Richmond upon Thames.
