This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Practice Bookkeeper/Assistant Accountant looking to develop their skills within a small but busy working environment.

The Role:

Initially to cover 9 months maternity leave with the potential to progress to a permanent role. Our client s ideal candidate will be interested in helping the business to continue to develop, working under their own initiative and taking full responsibility of their client s requirements. The role will be officed based in Brighouse.

You will be working with a wide range of clients from different sectors dealing with the preparation of their accounts.

Since 2010, HBS has been working with a wide range of clients providing Bookkeeping and Accountancy Services.

Essential Duties:

  • Bookkeeping
  • VAT Returns
  • CIS and Payroll
  • Reconciliation to trial balance
  • Assisting in the Preparation of Year End Accounts for Limited Companies and Sole Traders

  • Will be keen to work as part of a small team
  • Will have worked in roles that demonstrate good relationship skills
  • Be personally responsible for own personal continuous professional development, ensuring they remain fully skilled and trained and effective in the post

Required Qualifications

  • Applicants will only be considered if they hold AAT or ACCA qualifications
  • Min 3 years experience in Practice

Skills

  • Knowledge of Xero, Quickbooks, Sage One and Payroll Manager and experience within a practice environment with excellent IT Skills are essential
