PRODUCTION TEST ENGINEER - INSIDE IR35 - VIA UMBRELLA - 25.31 PER HOUR - CAN START ON BPSS - 12 MONTHS - BOLTON - SINGLE STAGE INTERVIEW PROCESS

Yolk Recruitment are recruiting for a Production Test Engineer to work an initial contract for 12 months from our client's site over in Bolton.

Responsibilities: As the Production Test and Diagnostics Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting production tests and diagnostics of complex weapons at System and Subsystem levels.
• Testing complex electronic equipment and diagnosing production test failures down to the component level.
• Identifying corrective actions in a timely manner to ensure continuous production in line with the program.
• Providing technical support to Test Operators to facilitate efficient throughput of Prime hardware during production.
• Assessing related Test Equipment issues and directing support services to resolve equipment failures.
• Evaluating technical problems to develop proposals for investigations and corrective actions, including process improvements.
• Representing Test Engineering at Defect Review Board meetings to ensure efficient progress of equipment and quality notifications towards corrective action.

Qualifications and Experience: The successful candidate should have:

• HNC/HND (Electronics) Level of Qualifications or equivalent, plus a substantial level of experience in Digital and Analogue Electronics Manufacture and Test.
• A good understanding of measurement and test principles and equipment.
• An understanding of RF and Microwave technology at the subsystem level (advantageous).
• Good planning and organizing skills.
• Communication skills, with the ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Manual handling training.
• ESD training.
