STS Aviation Services is hiring a Project Lead to join our expanding base maintenance operations at Manchester Airport. This is an exciting opportunity to work with the UK’s leading MRO provider and play a key role in the successful planning, execution, and delivery of complex aircraft maintenance inputs.
Role Overview
As a Project Lead, you will be instrumental in managing aircraft maintenance checks from a project and cost management perspective. Working closely with internal departments, suppliers, and customers, you will ensure that all inputs are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest operational standards.
Job Purpose
The Project Lead supports the Check Management Team by building and maintaining detailed project plans, tracking milestones, managing costs, and preparing internal and external reports. This role demands proactive coordination, financial oversight, and strong stakeholder communication.
Required Skills & Experience
Proven experience in project management within an aviation or MRO environment
Strong understanding of aircraft maintenance processes and input coordination
Exceptional organisational and communication skills
Experience in resource and cost tracking for technical operations
Comfortable interfacing with both internal stakeholders and external customers
Ability to proactively manage risks and develop mitigation plans
Competent in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with project planning tools preferred
Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom is required
