Spinwell is recruiting for a Project Manager for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PROJECT MANAGER
- To develop and deliver property related projects (both for the Council s housing stock and corporate properties) with a particular emphasis on decarbonisation.
- To develop and deliver projects to achieve the objectives of the Corporate Strategy, Asset Management Strategy and inform the development of the Housing Revenue Account (HRA) Business plan.
- To manage and co-ordinate project teams in accordance with the values and aims of the council under the direction of the Assets Manager.
- To deliver individual construction and property related projects in accordance with the Council s Asset Management Strategy and to the Council s required quality standard, delivery timescales, and agreed costs.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE PROJECT MANAGER
- Minimum of a degree or HNC/ HND level in construction or equivalent
- GCSE grade C or above in English language or equivalent standard
- A minimum of two years experience of delivering complex property and construction projects
- Experience of project managing a number of complex projects (up to 2M)
- Experience of preparing project systems, project plans, project appraisals, risk registers, and options appraisals
- Good working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation relating to construction Projects
- Some experience of specifying and commissioning professional services and construction works including contract procurement, contract management plus the ability to manage and supervise a diverse range of works
- Some experience of setting managing and monitoring minor scale capital and revenue budgets
- Some evidence of project management and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent customer service skills to a variety of stakeholders including elected members
- The ability to positively contribute to customer focused teams and work well within teams.
- Computer skills and in particular, the ability to use Microsoft Office software ie. Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook,
- Full UK driving Licence and access to own transport for business use
