Great opportunity for a highly experienced python developer with interest in data to join global research and consultancy business on initial 3-month

contract.

The Python developer will be responsible for managing the interchange of data between the server and the users. The primary focus is the development of

all server-side logic, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to request from their front end. They are also responsible for integrating the front end

elements built by other developers into the application; therefore a basic understanding of front end technologies is necessary as well.

Responsibilities:

• Writing reusable, testable and efficient code
• Design and implementation of low-latency, high- availability and performance applications
• Implementation of security and data protection
• Integration of data storage solutions

Skills and Knowledge

• Experience in python with knowledge of one or more python framework (Django, Flask, Kivy, PYQT, PYGUI, Libavg, wxPython)
• Familiarity with some ORM
• Experience administering applications servers, web-services, and databases (Tomcat, Websphere, Nginx, Oracle, MySQL)
• Server side templating languages (Jinja 2, Mako)
• Understanding of the threading limitations of Python, and multi-process architecture
• Basic understanding of front end technologies (HTML and CSS)
• Understanding of accessibility and security compliance
• Strong UNIT testing or debugging
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools

KEY SKILLS

• Python development with experience working with data / Databases (SQL, Pandas, Knowledge, ETL Pipeline Development
• AWS
