As a RAD (Rapid Application Development) Developer for our clients esteemed investment bank's trading desk, you will play a pivotal role in driving innovation and efficiency within their Fixed Income trading operations. Leveraging your expertise in Excel and Python programming, you will be responsible for developing cutting-edge solutions that enhance the trader's ability to analyze, manage risk, and execute trades seamlessly. Your contributions will directly impact the success of our trading desk, ensuring it remains at the forefront of the financial market.

Key Responsibilities:

Excel and Python Development:

• Design, develop, and maintain Excel-based spreadsheets and Python applications tailored to the specific needs of the trading desk.

• Implement automated processes to streamline trading activities and enhance desk productivity.

Trading Desk Support:

• Collaborate closely with traders to understand their requirements and provide technical solutions that address their unique challenges.

• Offer ongoing support to the trading desk, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing existing tools to align with evolving market demands.

Risk Management:

• Integrate risk management functionalities into trading applications, ensuring the identification, assessment, and mitigation of potential risks.

• Develop tools to analyze and report on risk exposures, providing Real Time insights to traders and risk managers.

Fixed Income Expertise:

• Demonstrate a deep understanding of Fixed Income markets, products, and trading strategies.

• Stay informed about market trends, regulatory changes, and industry best practices to incorporate relevant insights into development efforts.

Collaborative Development:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including traders, analysts, and risk managers, to deliver comprehensive solutions that meet the dynamic needs of the trading desk.

• Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, and mentorship to foster a collaborative and innovative development environment.

Spreadsheet Modeling:

• Utilize advanced spreadsheet modelling techniques to develop financial models and analytical tools that support decision-making processes.

Required Skills:

Proficient in Excel spreadsheet development and modelling.

Strong programming skills in Python, with a focus on financial applications.

In-depth knowledge of trading desk operations and Fixed Income products.

Familiarity with risk management principles and methodologies.

Ability to collaborate effectively with traders and other stakeholders.

Prior experience in RAD development within the financial industry is a plus.
