Our Cranfield based client is looking for a self-motivated and driven Sales professional to join their hardworking and collaborative team, who are passionate about supporting each other and strive for success! As a Sales Manager you will be responsible for generating new business within your region, including lead generation, actively prospecting, arranging appointments, negotiating and closing. You will also be tasked with maintaining and growing existing customer accounts. This is a unique opportunity for someone wishing to carve out a successful and fulfilling career within a market-leading and innovative worldwide company.

Your responsibilities as a Regional Sales Manager will include but not limited to:

  • Researching and identifying new sales opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customer segments, partnerships, products and services.
  • Discovering new ways of reaching existing markets.
  • Keeping abreast of new business opportunities and related competitor intelligence.
  • Proactively ensuring that all sales opportunities are fully explored and captured.
  • Developing existing customer relationships and generating new sales opportunities across a range of products.
  • Producing a full monthly sales funnel and forecast report (template provided).
  • Arranging and attending meetings with prospects and customers as required. This will include travelling within the agreed regions (Midlands & the South of England).
  • Actively seeking out tender and request for quotation opportunities, responding in a timely and organised manner.
  • Attending industry and business events, always representing the company and its products in a professional and knowledgeable manner.

To be a successful Regional Sales Manager, you must be:

  • Self-motivated and organised with a strong attention to detail.
  • An excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing.
  • Eager to learn and build up technical knowledge.
  • Ideally from an electrical, technical or distribution industry background.
  • Experienced in dealing with B2B customers.
  • A confident user of Microsoft Office.
