Job Title: Azure Cloud Engineer

Location: Norway (Oslo)

We are looking for an Azure Cloud Engineer to work on a remote basis. The site is based in Troms but several team members work from various cities in Norway.

As an Azure Cloud Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability.

Azure Infrastructure Design and Implementation:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient Azure infrastructure solutions.
  • Deploy and manage virtual machines, storage accounts, and other Azure resources.
  • Design and implement network configurations, including Azure Virtual Networks and VPNs.

Automation and Scripting:

  • Develop automation scripts and templates for provisioning and managing Azure resources.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles using tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or PowerShell.

Monitoring and Optimization:

  • Implement monitoring solutions to ensure the performance and availability of Azure resources.
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and optimize cloud infrastructure for cost-efficiency.

Security and Compliance:

  • Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with the security team to conduct regular audits and implement security measures.

Collaboration and Documentation:

  • Work closely with development, operations, and other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud services.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for Azure configurations and processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer with a focus on Azure (5+ years).
  • Strong understanding of Azure services, networking, and security.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Bicep or ARM templates.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
  • Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-900, AZ-104, AZ-300/301) are highly desirable.
