a leading technology solutions provider, is actively seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer/Architect with a robust background in NHSstyle environment with  Microsoft Azure Cloud Technologies. As a key player in the Azure data engineering space, we leverage cutting-edge technologies to drive innovation and solve complex business challenges. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional with expertise in NoSQL, relational databases, Python, SQL, backend programming languages, Docker, Kubernetes, and a strong command of Microsoft Azure Cloud Data Technologies.
Position Overview:
As an Azure Data Engineer/Architect  you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing scalable data solutions within the NHS ecosystem. The position offers the flexibility of a 6-month remote contract, providing an excellent opportunity for a talented individual to contribute to our projects remotely.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. NHS Data Expertise: Apply your in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience working with NHS data sets.
  2. Data Architecture: Design and implement robust and scalable data architectures in the Azure environment.
  3. Development: Utilize your expertise in Python, SQL, backend programming languages, Docker, and Kubernetes to develop data solutions aligned with NHS requirements.
  4. Cloud Technologies: Leverage Microsoft Azure Cloud Data Technologies, including Data Lake, Data Factory, and Synapse, to build efficient and effective data pipelines within the NHS framework.
  5. Containerization and Orchestration: Implement Docker containers and Kubernetes orchestration for scalable and portable deployment of data solutions.
  6. Data Modeling: Create and maintain data models tailored to NHS standards for optimal performance and data integrity.
  7. Optimization: Identify opportunities for performance optimization and implement enhancements within the NHS data context.
  8. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand NHS-specific data requirements and provide technical guidance.
  9. Documentation: Document data engineering processes, methodologies, and best practices, ensuring alignment with NHS regulations.
Requirements:
  1. Proven experience as a Data Engineer/Architect with a focus on Microsoft Azure Cloud.
  2. Proficiency in NoSQL and relational databases.
  3. Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, backend languages, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  4. In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure Cloud Data Technologies (Data Lake, Data Factory, Synapse).
  5. Substantial experience working with NHS data sets.
  6. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  7. Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
