Enterprise Architect


12 Month Contract


650 per day Inside IR35


Fully remote


Rullion are working with a large Utilities orgainsation, who are on the lookout for Enterprise Architect for a 12 month initial engagement. As an Enterprise Architect, you will play a pivotal role in driving forward the IAB programme. This encompasses projects aimed at monitoring our water and waste networks, developing digital twins of treatment facilities, reducing leakage, anticipating asset failures, and optimising energy use, among other cutting-edge initiatives. You will be instrumental in ensuring the architectural integrity and consistency across all IAB initiatives, leveraging common IoT technologies and Azure cloud components.


**Key Responsibilities:**


- Clearly articulate the outcomes and deliverables of the IAB roadmap along with associated costs, benefits, and risks for each initiative.


- Provide architectural guidance and leadership ensuring the use of common IoT technologies and Azure cloud components across all IAB initiatives.


- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the development and implementation of IoT solutions.


- Lead efforts in building digital twins of treatment works to optimise operations.


- Champion initiatives to reduce leakage, anticipate asset failures, optimise energy use and demand.


- Establish and enforce technology standards, principles, and governance processes.


- Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring a shared understanding of the IAB programme's goals and requirements.


- Lead or participate in project planning, requirements definition, and solution design activities.


- Conduct evaluations of new technologies, vendors, and products to determine their potential value and applicability to the IAB initiative.


- Identify and assess potential risks and issues related to the architecture and technology solutions, and develop mitigation strategies.


- Monitor the performance of implemented architectural solutions, identifying areas for improvement.


- Develop and maintain architectural documentation, including architectural diagrams, data models, and interface specifications.


- Ensure that architectural solutions comply with regulatory requirements and security standards.



**Key Skills and Qualifications:**


- Proven experience in Enterprise Architecture within a complex, technology-driven environment, preferably within the utility/water sector.


- Extensive knowledge and experience with Azure cloud platforms.


- Proficient in various IoT and networking technologies used for data capturing and transmission.


- Strong understanding and experience in digital twin technologies, data analytics, and machine learning.


- Experience working with a range of Operational Technologies (OT) and control systems (e.g. SCADA).


- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.


- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
