Castlefield Recruitment are currently working with a large public sector organisation who are looking to recruit a Financial Accountant on an interim basis for an initial 6 month period. The role will offer remote working and pay between £150 - £220 per day.
The role:
- Provide vital support to the senior leadership team working closely with the Head of Finance
- Direct responsibility and leadership for the financial and technical accounting team (including treasury, tax, payroll and AR/AP)
- Take ownership of the production of group statutory annual accounts on a timely basis.
- Responsibility for ensuring all processes and controls are adhered to, in accordance with standing orders and financial regulations.
- Contribute to joint meetings and support the delivery of an effective service including advice, support, challenge and guidance
The person:
- Advanced IT skills comprising Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint
- Be fully conversant with financial systems
